18 May lyntia Networks expands its optical service with new encrypted 800 Gbps and 400 Gbps services
Madrid, 18 May 2026 – lyntia, a neutral wholesale fibre-optic infrastructure operator, is expanding its Wavelength service with new encrypted 800 Gbps and 400 Gbps options, designed to meet the growing demand for capacity and the security needs of businesses, operators and institutions.
The increase in traffic driven by the cloud, artificial intelligence and distributed data environments is placing greater demands on transport networks, which must manage larger volumes of data whilst sustaining efficiency, stability and security.
In this context, the new 800 Gbps option enables clients to handle large volumes of traffic more efficiently, facilitating the evolution of their networks without expanding existing infrastructure. This translates into greater operational efficiency, cost optimisation and better adaptation to high-demand scenarios.
Meanwhile, the encrypted 400 Gbps solution provides optical-level traffic protection, ensuring data security in transit without impacting latency or capacity. This solution is particularly aimed at sectors with high security requirements, such as banking, public authorities and critical infrastructure, where information protection is a key element.
With these new capabilities, lyntia strengthens its value proposition in optical services, evolving its portfolio to adapt to the real needs of the market and combining greater capacity, operational efficiency and security in increasingly demanding environments.
According to Fernando Conde, Product Manager for Optical Infrastructures at lyntia
“With these new solutions, we are responding to our clients’ need for greater capacity and security without increasing operational complexity, thereby strengthening a portfolio aligned with their real needs.”
